I hate meetings.
I hate Higher Power.
I hate anyone who has a Twelve Step program.
To all who come in contact with me,
I wish you death and I wish you suffering.
Allow me to introduce myself.
I am the Disease of Alcoholism.
Cunning, baffling, and Powerful.
That’s me.
I have killed millions, and I am pleased.
I love to catch you with the element of surprise.
I love pretending I am your friend and lover.
I have given you comfort, have I not?
Wasn’t I there when you were lonely?
When you wanted to die, didn’t you call me?
I was there. I love to make you hurt.
I love to make you cry.
Better yet, I love when I make you so numb you can neither hurt nor cry.
You can’t feel anything at all.
This is true Glory.I will give you instant gratification and all I ask of you is long term suffering.
I’ve always been there for you.
When things were going right in your life, you invited me.
You said you didn’t deserve these good things and I was the only one who would agree with you.
Together we were able to destroy all the things good in your life.People don’t take me seriously.
They take strokes seriously, heart attacks, even diabetes they take seriously-fools that they are.
They don’t know that without my help, these things would not be made possible.
I am such a hated disease.
And yet, I do not come uninvited.
You choose to have me.
So many have chosen me over reality and peace.More than you hate me,
I hate all of you who have a 12 step program.
Your program, your meeting, your higher power:
All weaken me and I can’t function in the manner I am accustomed to.Now I must lie here quietly.

I have some difficulty understanding your writings so if I misunderstand this please forgive me. This is not written by me. It has been around for quite a while and I’ve never been able to find out who authored it.
I posted it to be read as a “statement” from the disease itself.

There is absolutely no scientific foundation to the notion that some people have an allergy to alcohol. An allergy (more properly speaking - hypersensitivity) is a well - defined medical condition where the body produces anti - bodies in response to an antigen. No scientific researcher has ever found any human who produces antibodies in response to alcohol.
I feel some pain that you Steppers isolate yourselves from the information that is available to you. Isn’t one of the “slogans” in AA to - KEEP AN OPEN MIND - & yet you close your minds to anything that can assist you in your recovery. I suggest you burn all the Big Books & 12 Step literature - ask Jesus to forgive you & join a Church (become a Catholic). Like me you are all sinners & Jesus died on a cross (for you) - not that lunatic, Wilson (false prophet).

well well I feel like a scholar ,,,lol I have nt seen that in a while Mark , thanks Just last thurs we had a speaker from centereach who was wondering why when he drank it felt like someone was trying to kill him and he and others agreed , I pulled a mussel trying to get called on to say “IT YOUR FU%$ING DISEASE TRYING TO KILL YOU” boy this guy …centereach must have changed if he gets away with this ,,,
Thanks for the traditions check list I feel a group inventory coming on for my group after that so an so told the wet drunk not to come back.

I long for the days growing up when know one was allowed to talk about there feelings ,we where taught to stuff it man stuff , bring the feelings to your sponsor and the answer back to the table .
