Welcome To December - The Twelfth Step Month!

That’s right… this is the month we give it all away, right?

“He may not see at once that he has barely scratched a limitless lode which will pay dividends only if he mines it for the rest of his life and insists on giving away the entire product.”

Last year I began the month with talk of our Twelfth Tradition and mentioned that which is well-known - “What insures our sobriety more than any one other thing? Working with others. Newcomers!!!”

For me, I believe in what an oldtimer taught me - if I give it all away I’ll have nothing left for myself so I better damn well keep something…

I am also grateful that my mind understands the simple concept that every day is Christmas therefore this isn’t the only time we give away what we can to help others open the same gift we’ve been given.

Please, be the best example you can be today of the truth and the light of the Big Book Alcoholics Anonymous and the legacy of the oldtimers who’ve passed the wonderful gift on to all of us!
